How often does one come across an olive oil brand which holds an award from more than 100 years ago?
Well, we have one for you here! Tombazis Olive Grove actually holds the gold medal from the 1900 Paris International Exhibition of Olive Oil (The 1900 Paris Exposition Universelle). This olive oil brand however, does not simply rest on its past glories but continues its history of excellence, as it recently won two gold medals (London 2020 and Athena 2020).
History is part of the Tombazis Olive Grove also in the wider sense. Founded in 1828 by Admiral Manolis Tombazis, a hero of the Greek revolution for independence of 1821, the estate grounds have hosted great historic figures, including Ioannis Kapodistrias modern Greece’s head of state and many more.
Nevertheless, although history and awards are impressive, they do not mean much if the product does not meet expectations and Tombazi’s olive oil surely does not disappoint. The estate, has around to 1350 trees and all agricultural activities strictly abide to organic standards. The people behind Tombazis olive oil, want consumers to know that their olive oil is a product of hard work and great attention to detail, which is produced with respect and knowledge concerning the process.
