Arrival of the Aegean Cargo Sailing vessel
Today, Folegandros welcomed two vessels at its port: one, a towering high-speed ferry humming with fossil fuel; the other, a quiet sailboat carried only by wind and purpose. The irony was not lost on anyone standing on the quay: “The two jets,” someone laughed—pointing at the sailboat and the actual high-speed Jet ferry docked side by side.
But only one of them left no footprint behind.
Our Aegean Cargo Sailing sailboat docked at the island as part of its eco-logistics route through the Cyclades—carrying local products, stories, and the message that another way of transporting goods is not only possible but already happening.
