Morning 22 July 2025 – Psara’s Celestial Greeting

The dawn over Psara brought a rare sight for those awake early enough to witness it. Through the rigging of PELAGO, the silver moon and bright Aphrodite — the planet Venus — appeared side by side, their closest embrace of the year.

The sea lay still, the air cool, and the first light of day painted the sky in gentle blues and rose. Between the masts and lines, the two celestial bodies shone in quiet harmony, as if framed intentionally by the boat itself.

Moments like these remind us that sailing is not only about reaching new shores, but also about catching the world in its most fleeting, perfect alignments — the kind you can only see when you’re out on the water, looking up.
